Does Documents To Go support Windows Vista?

Answer:

Yes, support for Windows Vista was added in Documents To Go version 10 (and higher). It requires Palm Desktop 6.2 or higher to be installed on the Vista computer. Documents To Go versions 9 and lower will not work properly on Vista, regardless of which version of Palm Desktop is installed.

NOTE: Version 10.000 of the Premium and Standard Editions will not work correctly on Windows Vista, and must be updated to version 10.001 or higher.

If you already have Palm Desktop 6.2 (or higher) installed on your Vista computer, you can download and install Documents To Go 10 or higher. Save the installer file to your computer. Once the download is complete, open that file to start the installation, then follow the on-screen steps.

If you do not have Palm Desktop 6.2 (or higher) installed on your Vista computer, you will need to install it first, before you install Documents To Go 10 or higher. Previous versions of the Palm Desktop software (4.2 and lower) did not fully support Windows Vista. In order to install and synchronize Documents To Go 10 or higher on Windows Vista, you must have Palm Desktop 6.2 or higher installed. According to Palm, it only supports the following models:

Palm Centro

Treo 755p

Treo 700p

Treo 680

Treo 650

Palm TX

Z22

Tungsten E2

If you are using one of the above models, click one of the links to go to Palm's web site, where you will find instructions to download and install the new Palm Desktop and HotSync software. Make sure you read all of the information on that page very carefully, as it contains very important instructions for installation. After the installation is complete, you can download and install Documents To Go 10 or higher. Save the installer file to your computer. Once the download is complete, open that file to start the installation, then follow the on-screen steps.

Chinese Palm Centro:

If you are using a Chinese Palm Centro, it comes bundled with a special Chinese version of Documents To Go 8 Professional Edition that will work on Windows Vista. It requires Palm Desktop 6.2 or higher to be installed. Please note that Documents To Go versions 9 and higher are not available in Chinese.
