Solution:
These errors are caused by a bug in the BlackBerry OS. To resolve this problem, you will need to uninstall the older version of Documents To Go and reboot the phone. Then you will be able to install the newer version of Documents To Go. Please follow the appropriate set of steps below.
NOTE: "BlackBerry OS" refers to the version of the OS (or "Device Software") on your phone, NOT the version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your computer. To check the OS version on your BlackBerry, click here for steps.
BlackBerry OS 5.0:
- Open the Options application on your BlackBerry (on some models, it is inside a "Settings" folder).
- Select Applications, and make sure "Third Party" is selected at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to highlight Documents To Go, then press the Menu key and select Delete (select Delete again to confirm).
- Select "Third Party" at the top of the screen and change it to "Add-on".
- Scroll down to highlight Documents To Go (if it is listed), then press the Menu key and select Delete (select Delete again to confirm).
- Select "Add-on" at the top of the screen and change it to "Core".
- Scroll down to highlight Documents To Go (if it is listed), then press the Menu key and select Delete (select Delete again to confirm).
- When asked if you want to restart, choose Yes (or pull out the battery while the device is still powered on).
- Wait for the device to restart, then reinstall Documents To Go.
BlackBerry OS 4.5, 4.6, 4.7:
