Question:
What is DocSync Technology?
Answer:
DocSync Technology gives the user the freedom to make changes to their documents on the Palm handheld and synchronize those changes back to the desktop while retaining the documents' original formatting and features on the desktop. This is especially important when the original file contains formatting and features that are not supported on the handheld. DocSync Technology is used in Documents To Go versions 3.0 to 8.0 (Windows only).

Why isn't DocSync Technology available for Macintosh?
DocSync Technology for the Windows platform was developed with developer's tools related to the Microsoft OLE automation. When we first released DocSync for Windows, this kind of technology was not available on the Macintosh side. Because of that, DocSync technology was not developed for Documents To Go on the Mac.
However, starting in Documents To Go 9, we introduced InTact Technology, which replaced DocSync, and works on the handheld so it is not dependent on the desktop software. Therefore InTact will work whether you are using the Windows or Mac version of Documents To Go 9 or higher. For more information about InTact technology, please see our web site here:
