Can I synchronize with two PC's, such as a home and a work computer?
Answer:
Documents To Go supports the synchronization of one Palm OSŪ handheld with multiple desktop computers. For example, you can synchronize files between your home and work computers, your laptop and home computers, and even your Macintosh and Windows computer.
Below is an example of the steps you would take to synchronize files between your work and home computers:
- Install Documents To Go on your home and work computers.
- Synchronize files from your work computer to your handheld.
- View or edit those files on your handheld.
- At home, synchronize your handheld with your home computer and the files from your work computer will be placed on your home computer.
- Any edits made to files on the handheld will be reflected in the files on the home computer.
- Make changes to the file on your home computer.
- Synchronize with your home computer.
- Synchronize with your work computer and your file will be updated.
Please note:
- If changes are made to a file on the second computer and synchronized back to the original computer, DocSync Technology will not be employed. Rather, changes are reflected onto the original file via a translation.
- DocSync Technology is supported if changes are made to a file on the handheld, but not on the second computer, and then synchronized back to the original computer.
