Yes, Documents To Go can synchronize with multiple desktop computers by using the Documents To Go Desktop program, or by using an online "cloud storage" service.
Documents To Go can be set up to synchronize with the "Documents To Go Desktop" program on multiple computers. Each computer will have its own separate sync folder in the "Desktop Files" section in Documents To Go on the device, and each sync folder on the device will only synchronize with its associated computer. If you want to copy files between different computers, you can open a file in Documents To Go and do a "Save As" to save a new copy of it to another desktop sync folder. However, it would be a separate copy of the file and would not synchronize changes with the original.
Cloud Storage Synchronization(Documents To Go Premium only)
Documents To Go Premium supports synchronization with several online "cloud storage" services. You can download and edit files from your online account directly in Documents To Go, and synchronize your changes back to that account. Most (if not all) of the supported cloud storage services have their own options to synchronize your online files with one or more desktop computers. Therefore, if you edit or create files in Documents To Go and sync them to your online account, the online account can synchronize them to your desktop computer(s).
You can download files from your online account directly to Documents To Go on the device, and any changes you make can be saved and synchronized back to that online account. You can also create new files in Documents To Go and upload them to your account.
No, Documents To Go does not support the use of macros, buttons, or drop-down menus (AutoFilters) in Excel files. These features primarly use Visual Basic code in Excel, but that code type is not supported by handheld platforms, so Documents To Go cannot execute the VB code necessary to use those features.
To select multiple cells, tap once on a cell to select it, then double-tap & "drag" to select multiple cells. The same method can be used to select multiple columns or rows.
Single and multiple rows or columns may be frozen in a spreadsheet (currently, only a selection of rows OR columns may be frozen). To freeze a row or column, pan the sheet so that your frozen area will be on the left or top of the current view. Select a cell beneath the row you wish to freeze, or to the right of the column to be frozen. Then, choose the "Freeze Panes" icon
located under the
icon Once the chosen area is frozen, that area will remain on screen while you're able to pan the rest of the unfrozen document. It isn't possible to select multiple cells in the frozen area; in order to do this, you'll need to unfreeze the area.
Docs To Go supports editing of text only in the Outline View. With a PowerPoint document open, tap the "Go to" icon
and tap on "Edit Slide" to access the Outline View. You will see slide titles and text in an editable format.
You can use whichever method you like. Both methods are described below:
Move files & folders into the My DocsToGo folder:
The first time you successfully pair your iPad/iPhone/iPod touch with the Documents To Go Desktop application, a folder named "My DocsToGo" will be created in the Documents folder on your computer, and a shortcut to this folder will be created on the Desktop:
Mac: Windows:
This folder will automatically be added to Documents To Go Desktop. Simply move files (or folders containing files) into the My DocsToGo folder, and they will be copied to the device the next time you synchronize.
Add folders to the Documents To Go Desktop application:
Instead of moving files & folders into the My DocsToGo folder, you can add additional folders to Documents To Go Desktop by dragging & dropping them into the program (or by using the "Add Folder" button). These folders will sync with the device the same way the My DocsToGo folder does.
After adding a folder, you can double-click on it in the Documents To Go Desktop program (or use the "Edit Folder" button) to see list of all the supported items that exist within that folder. By default, all supported items inside the folder will be synchronized (you can uncheck any items that you do not want to sync to your device).
NOTE:If you remove a folder from Documents To Go Desktop, it will not be deleted from your computer, but it will no longer sync with your device.
The "In App Purchase" process takes place through the App Store, and will add the Premium Edition features to the regular version of Documents To Go.
NOTE: Although it will have all the Premium features, the icon for "DocsToGo" on your iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch will remain the same instead of changing to the "Premium" version of the icon. This is normal, because technically the regular version of Documents To Go installed (the Premium upgrade is like an invisible "add-on" app).
| If you purchase Premium edition directly from the App Store, its icon will look like this: | If you upgrade from the regular edition to Premium edition, its icon will look like this: |

Multiple cells can be copied and pasted within the same Excel file in Sheet To Go, but cannot currently be copied and pasted to other files or applications on an Android device.
However, it is possible to copy and paste a single cell to another file or application by following these steps:
Yes, Documents To Go can synchronize with multiple desktop computers by using the Documents To Go Desktop program, or by using Google Docs. Desktop sync and Google Docs require the Full Version of Documents To Go for Android. Both methods are explained below:
Documents To Go Desktop Synchronization
Documents To Go can be set up to synchronize with the "Documents To Go Desktop" program on multiple computers. Each computer will have its own separate sync folder in the "Desktop Files" section in Documents To Go on the device, and each sync folder on the device will only synchronize with its associated computer. If you want to copy files between different computers, you can open a file in Documents To Go and do a "Save As" to save a new copy of it to another desktop sync folder. However, it would be a separate copy of the file and would not synchronize changes with the original.
Google Docs Synchronization
Documents To Go Full Version supports synchronization with Google Docs. You can download and edit files from your Google Docs account directly in Documents To Go, and synchronize your changes back to that account. If you edit/create files in Documents To Go, sync them to your Google Docs account, you can access these files from any desktop computer once logging into your Google Docs account.
You may receive various error messages including the following reasons:
1) The file type was created in an unsupported version of Microsoft Office such as MS Office 95 or below (These files will have a .doc, .xls, or .ppt extension).
2) The file was created by a non-Microsoft program such as OpenOffice. Files created by non-Microsoft programs in Microsoft Office file formats (.doc or .xls) are not officially supported. This is because non-Microsoft programs create Word and Excel files differently than Microsoft Office does. This means that even though programs such as OpenOffice can create .DOC and .XLS files, they are not exactly the same as .DOC and .XLS files created by Microsoft Word or Excel. Therefore, such files are not always fully compatible with Documents To Go, which is why they are not supported.
3) The file was damaged or became corrupted.
Solution:
1. Open the file in Microsoft Office on your Windows or Mac OS computer
2. Choose "save as" from the menu
3. Save the file in a version of Microsoft Office that Documents To Go supports.
4. Reload the newly saved file to your Android device
If an Excel file contains formulas that are not supported by Sheet To Go, or if it contains circular references, it will be "read only" on the handheld, and cannot be edited or changed in any way. When that file is opened in Sheet To Go, an "Unsupported Content" message will briefly appear near the top of the screen:
A small padlock icon will also appear near the upper-right corner of the screen to indicate that the file is locked and cannot be edited on the handheld. If you tap the padlock icon, the following message will appear:
This file is read-only due to the following unsupported content:
It will have a list of the worksheets and cells in the file which contain the unsupported content.
When purchasing Documents To Go, you need 2 applications to remain installed on the Android device in order to keep the Full Version activated (Documents To Go 3.0 Main App and Documents To Go 3.0 Full Version Key).
You can hide one of these icons by following these steps:
Desktop Synchronization (Documents To Go Full Version Only) (Available on Windows Only)
You can synchronize files & folders between your computer and device by downloading and installing Documents To Go Desktop for Android on your Windows computer and pairing it with Documents To Go on the device via the USB cable. (Please note that Documents To Go does NOT support desktop top sync for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 device)
Cloud Storage (Documents To Go Full Version Only)
Documents To Go Full Version 3.0 supports document synchronization with Google Docs. Any changes you make can be saved and synchronized back to the online account. You can also create new files in Documents To Go and upload them to your account.
USB Storage Mode
You can copy files to the SD card in your Android device by connecting it to a computer with a USB cable, then mounting the SD card as a removable storage device. This allows you to browse though the files and folders on the card, and copy files to or from it.
To mount the SD card on the computer:
Card reader
You can copy files to your SD card if you have a compatible card reader for your computer. Take the SD card out of the device and insert it into the card reader. The card will mount as a disk on your computer, just like using USB Storage Mode. You can copy files to the Documents folder on the SD card, or to another folder of your choice. You can also copy files from the card to the computer.
Email attachment
You can send files as email attachments from your computer to your Android device. When you receive the email on the device, open the message and download/save/open the attachment.
***Documents To Go does not support desktop sync with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. You can transfer files to and from this device by manually copying files, using Google Docs, or sending files via Email***
For other Android devices, please see the following solutions:
Solution 1: Turn off "Debugging" mode if it is currently on
Solution 2: The USB setting on the Android device may be defaulted to the incorrect setting. Be sure to choose the correct option to "mount" the device in USB storage mode. This will vary on each Android device. If you do not see an option that references "USB Mass Storage Mode" choose "Disk drive" if available. (This does NOT apply to devices running the Honeycomb OS). If you are not prompted with an option to mount the device, please try the following:
Solution 3: The device may need to be restarted
Solution 4: Update Windows Media Player on your computer if you are running Windows Media Player version 10 or below:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-media-player
Solution 5: Go to your device manufacturer's website and see if there are any driver, firmware or software updates for your device or computer.
Samsung devices: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads
HTC devices: http://www.htc.com/us/
Motorola devices: http://www.motorola.com/Support/US-EN/Support-Homepage/Software_and_Drivers/USB-and-PC-Charging-Drivers
Solution 6: Check to see if a file called ".dinfo" exists on your SD card
***If your device's card is mounted as drive F, for example, you would browse to the following location when your device is connected in USB storage mode: "F":\.dataviz\.dinfo
If the file does NOT exist, try the following:
Solution 7: Run a Windows Update to make sure the system is up to date:
This will use Windows Update to search online for a more suitable driver for the USB device

Yes, Documents To Go 11 has been tested on Windows 7 and is compatible. It requires Palm Desktop 6.2 or higher to be installed on the computer. Documents To Go versions 9 and lower will not work properly on Windows 7, regardless of which version of Palm Desktop is installed. Documents To Go version 10 has not been tested on Windows 7.
Please note that 64-bit editions of Windows are NOT supported. This is because Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager do not support 64-bit editions of Windows. Although Palm suggests a possible workaround of syncing through a Bluetooth wireless connection, that can be an unreliable method of synchronization. It may work sometimes but not all the time, and therefore is not supported.
During installation, I receive the following error message:
InstallShield Wizard Completed
The wizard was interrupted before Documents To Go could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.
Click Finish to exit the wizard.
This can normally be fixed by restarting the computer, uninstalling Documents To Go from the computer, and then reinstalling Documents To Go.

However, if you reinstall Documents To Go, you will need to reestablish the links to those documents.
Try to reinstall Documents To Go
If necessary, redownload the installer for Documents To Go from the DataViz download site
There are different reasons why this problem may be happening. Most of the time, it is the result of a corrupt Documents To Go preference file or database file on the handheld. The problem is related to the HotSync Manager registry settings. The main symptoms usually include the following:
Each of those problems may happen for different reasons, but if you are experiencing at least 2 of those 3 symptoms, it is most likely because of the problem with the HotSync Manager registry settings. Some customers have also reported the following symptoms in conjunction with the overall issue:
Not everyone will have these exact same symptoms or errors. This issue seems to happen a bit differently for each person who experiences it.
